To prep for a Live Floor installation into an empty trailer, there are many components that must come together to make it all work. In the video, you can see a quick overview of all the steps completed by our great team of mechanics and technicians.
- Install the pipes and front hydraulic hoses. Connect the hydraulic lines to the drive unit
- Plumb from the pipes to the drive unit and install the pressure gauge on the shifting valve
- Determine the length of the trailer by measuring and set aside enough subdecking
- Set the jigs for the subdeck
- Square up the subdeck and screw it down to the crossmembers
- Install the bearings
- Measure the trailer for the flooring
- Install the floor
- Drill and countersink for the floor bolts
- Install the floor bolts and nuts
- Install the rear blocks
- Trim and slope board
- Install tarp caddies and latch plate
- Weld roll and stationary pipes together
- Install the pipes in the tarp
- Install tarp and the crank handle (or customer’s preference)
- Install wheels, lights or other customization
